Won a Range Rover Sport at $57,750 — the invoice arrived in an hour, the car never did

RPT-KZKFVM

Won a 2025 Range Rover Sport on their "auction" — $57,750 bid, my biggest purchase ever. They sent the invoice within an hour like clockwork (funny how the invoice always arrives on time, but the car never does). Paid by wire same day. And then... nothing. No car, no tracking that works, no callback. Their cute "Transport desk" — must be a desk with a phone nobody answers. Here's what really burns me: I found another "auction site" afterwards that looks EXACTLY like this one — same layout, same "live lanes", same promises, just a different name and state. These aren't auctions, they're a factory. Same template, same script, same disappearing act after your wire clears. "Verified vehicle marketplace" — verified by who?? Nobody verifies these people. The vehicles probably don't exist. Fifty-eight grand for a JPEG of a Range Rover. My wife almost cried. Queensgate — more like QueensGATE to hell. Save your money, people, these auction sites are the new Nigerian princes.

Paid $31,000. Car never showed up. They disappeared.

RPT-XSSUSZ

I found a 2018 BMW M3 on their site. Price looked reasonable, so I contacted them. A salesman named Alex answered fast, sent extra photos, even a video of the car starting. He said it was in Florida and ready to ship. I asked to see it in person, but he said it was already at a depot and I had to pay first. I wired $31,000. He confirmed receipt and promised delivery within a week. That was the last time I heard from him. After three days, I started calling. No answer. Emails bounced or got ignored. I left voicemails, sent messages through their site — nothing. It's been almost a month now. No car, no refund, no explanation. I filed a fraud report with my bank and reported them to the Florida DMV. Save yourself the headache. This site is a scam.

Convincing paperwork, but no truck

RPT-APWKZ3

I'm usually careful, so I requested the VIN and a CARFAX report before agreeing to buy a Chevy Silverado. They provided both. The report initially appeared genuine, but I later discovered it was fake. The salesperson kept pressuring me, saying another buyer was ready to purchase the truck. I wired $45,000. They sent a shipping tracking number, then stopped responding. My emails to info@hpv-auction.com started bouncing back, and the phone number was disconnected. I reported what happened to my bank and the police, but I'm not confident I'll recover the money.

Tried to buy a car for my daughter and lost $28,000

RPT-VW6Z33

I found a Honda CR-V on carstoreca.com and contacted their sales email address. They replied quickly and were very polite. They sent photos, said the vehicle had a clean title, and promised that delivery was included. They told me I had to pay by bank transfer to reserve it. I sent $28,000, and then they stopped responding. I received no car, no refund, and no explanation. Looking back, I wish I had walked away when they refused to let me see the vehicle in person.

Everything seemed legitimate until I sent the money

RPT-QRLC6Q

I contacted PCAS Auctions LLC about a Toyota Camry. They sent paperwork and a VIN, answered all my questions, and even called me twice. They said the car was in Pennsylvania and that I needed to pay quickly to secure it. I sent $35,500 by bank transfer. The next day, the phone number listed on the website was no longer working, and they stopped responding to my emails. A week later, I found accounts online from other people describing almost the same experience. I believe I was scammed.

Paid $44,000 and never received the truck

RPT-D9AK5B

I found a 2021 Ford F-150 on this site while shopping for a truck. The price caught my attention, but the person I spoke with was extremely pushy. He said another buyer was ready to send a deposit and that I needed to wire the full amount that day. I wired $44,000. After that, I received no title, no shipping information, and no return calls. My account was locked, too. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to stay away.

$25k for a truck on their "auction" — the same house as PrimeAutoBid

RPT-Q5899U

Paid $25k for a truck on their "auction". Then — total silence. No callback, no email reply, nothing. Here's the kicker: I did some digging after they ghosted me, and the address they use is a regular residential house — and the SAME house is listed by another "auction company" called PrimeAutoBid that's been robbing people too. Two auction "companies", one mailbox, zero cars. Palm Coast must be the scam capital of Florida. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Almost $40k for a 1970 Mustang Super Cobra Jet — the site is copy-pasted from another "dealer"

RPT-NFCFYR

"An automotive Disneyland" my a** — Disney has actual rides, these guys only have JPEGs. Paid almost $40k for a 1970 Mustang Super Cobra Jet — my dream car for 30 years. Car gone, money gone, nobody picks up the phone anymore. And the fun part I found out AFTER paying: their whole site is a copy-paste of another "classic car dealer" — same pitch, same fake testimonials, same "we buy classic cars" steps, word for word. Same template, different state. These "dealerships" spread like fungus. Boycott before they eat your retirement too.

Wired for a 1994 Defender 90 — the "30-day money-back guarantee" is worth nothing

RPT-Q7WEB9

Bought a 1994 Defender 90 NAS for my overlanding dream. Their site promises "Clear Titles" and a "30-day money-back guarantee" — that guarantee is worth exactly ZERO. Wiring the money was easy. Getting the truck — impossible. "Personalized service"? They personalized my disappearance: total silence the same day I paid. And guess what — they don't even list a phone number on the whole damn site. Red flag #1, should've seen it in advance. The "dealership" itself is an industrial park, no car lot in sight. SS Motor Cars = Same S***, Different Site. Lazy thieves.

Paid in crypto for a Road Runner — the "dealership" is a row of storage units

RPT-L9EAJQ

Wanted a Road Runner since I was 16. Finally had the money, found these guys online. Talked a good game, promised everything — "largest classic car dealer in the world", documents, inspection video, the whole show. They even pushed me to pay in crypto — that was my second mistake, the first one was trusting them at all. Money sent, car never shipped. Phone calls go into the void, emails ignored. Those cute quotes on their homepage — "Ultimate car paradise", "Best restoration work I've ever seen" — all written by the same scammer who took my money, guaranteed. There is no paradise. There's no dealership either — it's a storage unit row. My childhood dream and my money down the toilet. F*** these people with a rusty dipstick.

Won a Corvette ZR-1 at $45,105 — paid the invoice and never heard from them again

RPT-JTP339

Retired last year and finally had time for my dream car — a Corvette. The site looked legit: "353 active auctions," live bids, delivery estimates, even a "Money-Back Guarantee". Won the auction on their 2010 Corvette ZR-1 at $45,105, paid the invoice the same day. That was the last I ever heard from PrimeAutoBid. The "Buyer Support" that answered every question before the auction went silent — phone (656) 268-0101 just rings out, info@primeautobid.com ignored. Later I checked: 18 Weymouth Ln in Palm Coast is a residential house, not an auction house. And their fancy "Registration ID WVVD9817218118" in the footer is worth exactly nothing. All those perfect 5-star reviews from "Kate P." and "Steve O." across the country — I'd love to meet those people. $45k gone, no Corvette. Don't repeat my mistake.
